Duro Gigli awarded RAS Champion Dried Pasta

Duro Gigli awarded RAS Champion Dried Pasta

Jesse Hegg

Duro Pasta’s Gigli was awarded Champion Dried Pasta at the 2025 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, held by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.

The award recognises the highest-scoring product in the dried pasta category, and is a significant milestone for our small team on the NSW South Coast.

It was a humbling and unexpected result, particularly given the quality of producers represented at the awards. Duro is still early in its pasta journey, but this recognition is a meaningful reflection of the work we have put into our Australian-grown durum wheat, bronze extrusion, slow drying and ongoing product development.

We will continue to refine and improve what we do, while staying focused on producing premium dried pasta from Australian ingredients.

Thank you to the judges and stewards at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, and congratulations to all Champion exhibitors.

As Sydney Royal Fine Food Chair Michael Bullen said:

“I congratulate all of our winners on their success and encourage consumers to explore the results and give them a try – there are some world-class products on the market right now, and many are readily available.”
